Justin's Christmas goodies

Something I don't want to forget -

Justin bought gifts for the family at the school shopping day. He had $3 per gift. He bought-
Aunt Lori - An ornament that said "aunt"
Uncle Phil - A pen that said "#1 uncle"
Sarah - a stuffed bunny (that he gave her the next day when she was in the hospital)
Grammy - a pen? (I'll have to ask)
Grampy - a mug that said Granddad and had ducks on it. When he gave it to him he said "I got it for you because you love to drink coffee and you like ducks!" So cute!
Daddy - a keychain that lights up and says "Daddy" He was so excited to show Daddy!
Me - a statue with 3 dolphins. He was so excited about it!

Justin did it!

The scene:
Christmas Day, afternoon.
Sarah had to go to the bathroom.
She called me in when she was done.

Sarah: Mommy, help me. There is pee pee all over floor. (it was actually just about 5 drops)
Me: Oh, you got some on the floor (as I lifted her on the potty. The tights were giving her problems.)
Sarah: No. Justin did it.
Me: He did?
Sarah: Yes. But don't give him a time out!

Seriously. She just cracks me up!

Van & Norma

Sarah got the Bitty twins (American Girl dolls) this morning. When I asked her what she wanted to name them, she answered without hesitation - “Van & Norma!”
WTH? Where the hell did she get those names from? She (and us) spent all day talking about Van & Norma and it just makes the whole name thing so much cuter. When I asked her what she was gonna name her other new dolly, she answered “The same name. Norma.” Ummmm.... Honestly, these are 2 names I can’t imagine she has ever heard before. And, at least to us, they don’t go together at all. I love it!

The most wonderful happy Mommy day!

This morning was Sarah's preschool Christmas party. She was so cute. At the Halloween party she was quiet and seemed very uncomfortable. This time she seemed happy and confident and was totally into the songs. It was so fun to watch her. And her dance moves made me so happy. She even went up to see Santa! Oh my! She wouldn't look at him. She wouldn't talk to him. But she went up to him to get her present.

At home, getting dressed to go:

She sees Santa:

So excited to see Santa:

11 Pipers Piping:

6 Geese-A-Laying:

5 Golden Rings

A Partridge in a Pear Tree:

Sarah & Lexi:

Morgan and Sarah:

And then We went to Justin's Kindergarten Christmas Story Play. It was just the best. We laughed and smiled the whole time. When Justin finally had hid turn to be up front, he made the most of it just being extra charming with his smile.

The 3 Kings - JT, Justin and Matthew:

I couldn't stop laughing that he looked at me for so long and let me get some pictures. I raised him well:

Coming out for their introduction:

They were so happy and wouldn't move to let the next people come out. Again, couldn't stop laughing!:

Where Justin is at right now

So there is a Birthday party tonight for one of Justin's classmates. This will be his first school friend party. SO, anyway, it is at a Tae Kwon Do place. When we told this to Justin last night, he was so sad and asked "But will there be drawing?"

LMAO That is how much he loves his drawing right now.

Of course, he is so not into Tae Kwon Do anyway. I am kinda of glad to expose him to it though just to see what he thinks.

Hannah Montana? Really?

Sarah and I were in Hannaford today and while in the yogurt section, Sarah started getting excited about something. I looked. It was the Hannah Montana yogurt. What? For real?

Me: You like Hannah Montana?
Sarah: Yes! She's my favorite singer!

How the heck does she even know who she is? And how has she ever even heard her sing?

What the heck?

And so it begins....

Hospital Stay

Sarah went to the ER at 6 am Weds morning. Croup. She woke up coughing and crying that she couldn't breathe. Poor kid was so scared. She spent the night there and came home last this morning. I took pictures once she was better and in her room. She was quite bored but happy at times. She loves the fruit and the toast. She loved sleeping with momma. She LOVED her popsicles. she loved when Justin came to visit. (We couldn't get him to school today. He was too upset. He thought we'd be home by the morning and he flipped when he woke up and we weren't home. He also had a gift he had bought for her at his school secret santa and wanted to give it to her right away b/c she was sick. Oh....and when she was very sick Weds morning and Daddy was holding her at the back door trying to get cold air even though it was freakishly warm out, he brought her his flat ear. That would be his original lovey. We took it with us to the hospital.) She loved the gift she got when she was discharged. I'll update more later.

I don't want to forget to tell you about the orange juice fit though. Way too Sarah!

Updated -

So we were at the ER and Sarah needed steriods. They wanted to give it with orange juice. I said "Oh, orange juice. She doesn't drink juice." The nurse said "well we'll see if she drinks this now." OMG! Sarah lost it. She started throwing herself around and crying and crying. I had no clue WTH was happening. It was so unlike Sarah. She never acts like that. Finally, about 4 minutes later, she manages to get out b/w coughs and crying "No juice!" I said "OH!" and told the nurses she didn't want juice and to get her water instead. Instantly Sarah calmed down and sat up as if nothing had happened. Amazing!

She named her bunny that Justin had brought for her Giselle b/c I love Princess Giselle so much. Aww...
She named her baby doll that the nurse gave her "Sue Sue" after some baby on tv. She told me that "Just assume I am getting that baby for Christmas. Then I will have 2 Sue Sues." lol
When Sarah wanted popsicles, the nurse (Diane?) took her hand and walked her to the freezer. She picked her up and let Sarah pick out a popsicle. She also brought her a baby blanket for Crishy, brought Crishy a bottle, brought her a diaper. She was GREAT with Sarah and her baby!

I am still in shock

Sarah wrote her name today - all by herself. I wanted her to sign a Thank you card to John for making her the rocking horse. I was all set to hold her hand and help guide her. She got so mad! "NO! I do it!" And she did!

I've created a monster!

Justin is obsessed with scrapbooking right now! He spent the weekend scrapping with me during an online crop. He had so much fun!!! One of my friends was nice enough to give him points for some of the challenges. He won 2 times - 100 points each time. You would have thought he won the lotto! He couldn't wait to tell Daddy that he won!

So today I got a prize in the mail from an old challenge. He was excited and I told him that he helped me win the stuff this weekend. He was so damn excited! But then he wanted his prizes. Uh oh! I wasn't giving him my goodies. So I snuck downstairs and got him some of the old things I don't use anymore. He flipped! He loved it all! I gave him a bunch of old creative memories strips, one felt square and a pair of decorative scissors. He jumped up and down and lost his mind. (I had to give Sarah a pair of scissors too) They spent the rest of the night cutting things and making scrapping pages. Oh, and when Daddy got home he was beyond excited to show Daddy (and later Grammy) the stuff he won this weekend. It was so cool to see him so excited.

Here is his work:
