Justin and Hot Lunch

Up until now Justin never had an interest in Hot Lunch at school. That worked fine for me. He was easy. Everyday he took a cheese sandwich, celery (sometimes some carrots too) and a snack. Every day.

This year he is barely eating his lunch. He only eats about 2 bites of his sandwich. Annoying. And then he'd want dinner at 3pm.

So he asked to get hot lunch on Hot Dog day. Ok. So that was yesterday. I let him do it. He loved it! But, I really starting panicing in the morning that the hot dog or ketchup might have red40 in them. Most of them don't, but some do. Luckily, I was able to check before school and was able to verify that they didn't. Good - for that day. But they don't always buy the same thing. Crud!

They he told me that they served pudding with the lunch. He didn't get it b/c he knew better, thank goodness. But now I need to find out if they always offer pudding with the hot dogs. And is it always the same brand and type of pudding. And is it dye free. How do I ever find this out? Ugh!!!

But the kid loved it!
