Sarah can tumble!!! 7 months in gymnastics class and she can officially tumble now! So exciting. Last week I said "yeah" when she tumbled during class, so the next time she tumbled, she looked right over at me to see if I say her. I clapped and she smiled! The kids have new bedroom stuff. New beds, new bedspreads, new rugs. And their new rugs are thick and padded so they can tumble on them. It is exciting to see her tumble in the house. They couldn't before since they can't tumble on hardwood floors.
Something I don't expect to hear when he's much older. But, for now, Justin LOVES school. So much so that he said told us today about the bad things kids said on the bus one day when it was raining. Justin told us "It was raining and they said 'rain, rain, go away, (and something about school is boring.)' That is so bad and not true. School is never boring!" Well, I am glad he at least loves it now.
Ahhh....the result of sending my kid to a Catholic School is that he and Sarah spent the weekend performing the Passion Play for Mick & I. No lie. At least 5 times they performed for us, and then they spent at least an hour practicing and performing their practices. No lie. Justin was the narrator and Sarah was Jesus. I videotaped it a couple times. And I took pictures a different time. It was all fun. And watching Sarah "fall" 3 times was very funny. The best was them running around at the end yelling "He's Alive! He's Alive! He's Alive!" and waving their arms. It was great to watch. I also enjoyed watching Sarah carry the cross. And after Jesus dies, Sarah would run behind the couch and hide in the tomb. I still can't believe how well trained Justin had her to do what he wanted her to do. It was great. Oh, and Sarah was adorable when she was baby Jesus and laying on the ground wrapped in the blanket.
The other night (Thurs night b/c Justin had Music class that day) Justin and Sarah spent about 2 hours playing music class. He was the teacher and he had his new grand piano (I guess the teacher has a new one.) He set his keyboard up on his low dresser (formely his changing table) and used his books to pretend they were his sheet music books. He spent the whole time singing religious songs. So funny!!
Thurs night Sarah and Daddy went out on their big date - to Daddy's Night Out at her preschool. I had her dressed up all fancy and we even added a necklace and bracelet. She looked adorable. She was so excited and had so much fun!!

Oh, the Irony!
We were in the van today and we passed the Middletown Rd soccer fields. Sarah yells out "See you in the summer for soccer, soccer field!"
And the kids start talking about soccer. I asked Sarah if she still wanted to play this summer. Yes. So Justin starts telling her about soccer. Sarah asks "I will pass the ball to the people in the same shirts, right?" Yes.
The conversation continues and then Justin warns her:
"But Sarah, when you play soccer you will get real pooped!"
OMG! I nearly peed my pants!
Me: So, she'll get real tired, huh?
Justin: Yes. The real tired kind of pooped.
Me thinking: Yup. Well, she got pooped each soccer practice and game last year anyway. So what's new? Let's just hope she doesn't actually poop her pants again like last season!

Tidbits
Me:
Justin, you need to think about what you want to buy Sarah for her birthday. Something from her list
Justin:
I think I know what I will get her. How about a Happy Meal play set. And we can share!
-----
Sarah is so funny lately. When I go in to tuck her in before I go to bed, I am finding her sometimes with her butt at the edge of the bed and with her feet on the floor. Time for a bigger bed!

Sarah croup
We went to the pediatrican on Friday. This is the plan -
If she has another croup episode, then the doctor will order the upper GI barium test to be done. It can be ordered from her and is done in her building.
Until then we will not do anything. So far it has been 2 episodes this winter. I hate to do so much if that is all.
If she has to have the test done and it is negative, she may still put her on an antacid since the test is not 100%. Then we could see if it makes any difference.
Bummer though - I forgot to tell the doctor that both times she had a cold. Crap.

I can't make this stuff up!
3 weeks ago today is when Sarah fell (on the back of her head) and managed to cut her lip very badly and to knock her tooth loose. The result has been an extremely annoying 3 weeks of soft foods. And we have to cut up everything into very tiny toddler size bites. Not fun times.
So this afternoon - Sarah fell as she was getting onto a chair and landed on her face. Yup. Tooth is loose again. Blood. And - yup - the other front tooth is very loose now too! Sucks!!! I want to cry.
And, yes, I know there are much worse things that could have happened. And I am so glad it wasn’t worse. But I dread the thought of another 4 weeks of soft foods! And I really hope that everything heals. Now I have the potential of another tooth that may die or get infected and need to be pulled. Fun, fun times.
